Durham Professional Services is delighted to be recruiting for a Bid Coordinator to join our client’s commercial team, which is responsible for bid management. The bid management team is central to winning new business and works cross-departmentally and internationally with business development, technical and senior teams, often to tight deadlines. We are looking for a bid coordinator to join the team to support the tendering process from start to finish; ensuring our clients’ customers an exemplary offering.

The bid coordinator is an administrative support position which offers potential for a widely varied role. As such the successful candidate must be highly organised, happy to work to tight deadlines and be able to apply focus and attention to detail. 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of the opportunity/bid management process for tenders, quotes and pre-qualification’s (PQQs)
  • Bid management administrative tasks
  • ERP and CRM system data updates
  • Compiling tender documents
  • Drafting PQQ responses
  • Format and checking of documents and maintaining version control
  • Supporting Bid Managers in coordinating bid team input, including technical and commercial
  • Tender portal monitoring – identifying new opportunities
  • Tender portal submissions

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to Higher level or Degree level with exceptional command of English both written & verbal
  • Business writing experience and capability
  • Strong Microsoft Office Package
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A proactive and self-managing style, seeking out opportunities and meeting them
  • The ability to gather and make sense of a large amount of information and apply it to make business and customer focused decision
