Durham Professional Services is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a Change Project Manager on a 6 months (salaried) Fixed term contract. Ideally candidates will be flexible in location  close to Leeds as some travel to and from offices will be required.

 

Key responsibilities of this role include: -

  • Develop detailed, resource-based programme plans.
  • Establish and run effective programme reporting and governance.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Assess the change impact on end users through impact analyses and regular change readiness assessments.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Track and manage programme costs and benefits.
  • Rollout of new software that helps to optimise client network
  • Project started as a pilot a while back and then had a first wave rollout in 4 businesses from September 2022.
  • Still needs to be rolled out across the remaining businesses and scaled further in the 4 businesses it is already in
  • Key focus for the PM will be:
    • Provide visibility on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of delivery:
      • What has been delivered to date; benefits & KPI tracking
      • What is the plan for future delivery and what are the expected benefits & target KPIs
    • Engaging with the end user population and ensuring proper change management is in place
      • Comms – what’s are we doing; why are we doing it; what’s in it for them
      • Training – working with supplier to organise this
      • Op Model – what does the introduction of this software mean for the roles and responsibilities of the impacted user population

 

For applicants to successfully perform this position, it is expected you will:

  • Proven experience of programme / project management of business-critical change programmes.
  • Proven experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging, challenging, negotiating and influencing at all levels.
  • Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • A recognised project management qualification is desirable but not essential (e.g. Management of Portfolios (MoP), PRINCE2 Practitioner; MSP; APMP/PQ level, agile certification.
