A new requirement for a Infrastructure Project Manager has arisen with our international IT client based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent position working in a hybrid way of 3 days per week in the office. Salary for this role is c £70,000 to £80,000. It would be beneficial to have previous experience of working within Financial services.
Key Details
- Project Manager with in-depth knowledge of Data Centre Migration and Cloud Migration Projects.
- You will be responsible for leading a project team to deliver an Data Centre operation ie. Install, Move, Create Decom (IMACD)
- You will have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule and contractual deliverables, which includes applying their knowledge of Data Center Migration and Cloud Migration Services in the planning, tracking, change control and risk management of the project.
- You will be responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, partners and vendors and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client.
- You will provide day-to-day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client
Key Skills
- Previous experience on handling Migration or Cloud Migration projects / solution to the client using the latest methods and assets - - including reference architectures, business measurements and terms & conditions according to the project contract.
- Strong Stakeholder management and good communication
- Previous risk and mitigation management & Planning
- Good understanding on the change and release management process
- Good to have Technical / working experience and good understanding of the technology stack and application landscape
- Exposure to testing applications on public clouds (AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
- Exposure to testing software on VMware/Openstack/HyperV
- Exposure to work in agile development team
- Knowledge of any of the Infrastructure Skill Set Areas such as WAN LAN, Server Hardware, OS, Wireless LAN, Structured Cabling, New Site setup, Datacenter Management, Infrastructure management tools and Service Desk Management
- PMI PMP Or Prince 2 Practitioner & ITIL certified preferred
