An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Microsoft 365 SME to join our client on a permanent basis. This role is based in Glasgow.
 

The Job
 

On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:
 

  • Keep up to date with the functionality available in the Microsoft 365 Stack
  • Actively build & staying abreast of emerging technology directions related to Workplace Productivity, guiding IT on how to interpret & best leverage the emerging M365 technologies
  • Assist multiple departments & teams in identifying workplace productivity opportunities through internal customer meetings and presentations
  • Assist with User Adoption activities
  • Be in the Targeted Release group to get advance notification of M365 changes that could affect the organization
  • Review the Messages from the M365 message centre on a weekly basis as part of the Governance Group
  • Monitor and review the Microsoft 365 Roadmap
  • Regularly review any self-service offerings
  • Regularly review the O365 Learning Pathways site ensuring it is at current or N-1
  • Deploy approved solutions and manage existing solutions in the SharePoint App Catalogue
  • Review changes / requirements coming through the CAR process
  • Create solution/application designs for new applications for sign-off by TDA
  • Implement approved technology changes for following ACCA defined standards and best practices
  • Provide 3rd line support as required and manage escalations with Microsoft for vendor technical support
  • Provide 3rd line support for MS Live events; preparation and live technical support as requested by the business community; keep abreast of MS roadmap enhancements
  • Support business continuity, ensuring that adequate service & data redundancy exists for business needs
  • Assist in training end-users during all upgrade phases
  • Manage Microsoft 365 changes and share available training/learning links with ACCA IT teams
  • Develop project documents, update internal documentation and configuration items
  • Provide hand-off to other service delivery areas prior to project closure
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to the ACCA M365 Administrator

The Person:
 

  • ‘Microsoft 365 Fundamentals’ (MS-900), ‘Managing Microsoft Teams’ (MS-700), and ‘Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate’ certifications
  • Attained or working towards one or more Microsoft Azure Architect certifications
  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft 365 solutions using Teams & SharePoint as well as the other M365 product stack, such as Power Apps, Power Automate
  • Experience of managing SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams with PowerShell
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
  • Great understanding of Microsoft Teams Live Events
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Information Protection Framework
  • Strong understanding of advanced functions of Office 365 Security and Compliance Center
  • Practical understanding of Communication Compliance in Microsoft 365
  • Practical understanding of Microsoft Modern Lifecycle Policy for Microsoft 365 and interconnected workloads
  • Passion for technology with at least 5 years of Office 365 technical experience with increasing responsibility
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent people skills with ability to handle difficult personnel situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
