Durham Professional is looking to recruit a Systems Developer on a permanent basis. This role is working for our client in Central Scotland and will be a mix of working from home and in office as required. This role will suit candidates who are looking to expand on your current experience.
Our client is continuously investing in the latest emerging IT technologies: Azure, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics CRM, COINS ERP, Office 365, SharePoint. Our expansive systems capture a wealth of information across business functions. As such, you will be vital to the journey in creating a Single View of Data – Data Warehouse on their Azure SQL platform; integrating their full Line of Business systems.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- As a self-starter, you will use your initiative to investigate business problems and pro-actively propose solutions. As we are in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, you will be able to work remotely and be able to motivate yourself to stay focussed.
- Whilst many of your core duties may revolve around databases, SQL and BI; you will be excited by the potential of getting involved with other areas, such as the whole Office 365 technology stack including the Power Platform and SharePoint. Therefore, as a team player, you will want to offer your team-mates support; enabling the Group IT team collectively achieve success.
- Whilst priorities can unpredictably change; being flexible you will be happy to rise to any challenges that you face.
- We take responsibility for all IT requests. You will be willing to support end-users where they need help, in addition to getting stuck into larger pieces of work.
- Being articulate, you are willing to engage with our non-IT colleagues to understand their challenges; then be able to explain in a language that they can understand, why your proposal will meet their needs.
QUALIFICATIONS/RELEVANT INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential Skills:
- Working experience of SQL database development.
- Working experience of any Business Intelligence products (Power BI, IBM TM1 etc.).
- Working experience of Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI.
- Scripting experience, such as Power Shell.
- Highly motivated to continue self-development of IT skills.
- A strong personal interest in staying up to date with the latest IT technologies and willing to share your knowledge with the team, making recommendations as to our direction of travel.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level IT proficiency (MS Office)
- Good attention to detail.
