We are looking to recruit a UX Designer on an initial 6-month contract basis. This role is deemed “Inside” IR35 but can be based Working from Home.

Working as part of an agile development team, you will be responsible for creating top-notch user experiences that both look and feel beautiful. This is a hands-on design role, and you will produce mock-ups that will be presented to various stakeholders within our company.

We are looking for someone who really loves their work - if messy Photoshop and Sketch files and out of place pixels drive you crazy, then you will probably fit in well. You will be taking projects from ideas on paper through to planning, prototyping and design, so it is vital that you are able to communicate well with both our product owners and in-house development team.

We foster a strong team ethic here at Arnold Clark and actively encourage all of our members of staff to contribute ideas towards the success of our products, so if you are overly precious and don’t react well to feedback, then it’s likely that you’re not the one we’re looking for.

About you

  • You will have a strong digital background and using Creative Suite will be second nature, but most importantly you’ll have a pro-active, can-do attitude.
  • Experience of designing within an agile environment would be nice, but not essential.
  • You should have a sharp eye when it comes to attention to detail and some basic HTML / CSS work will not scare you.
  • Obviously, it goes without saying that you’ll love staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies and have a strong portfolio to demonstrate your previous successes.
