Durham Professional Services is delighted to be working with our Client to recruit an exciting new position based in Glasgow City Centre. We are looking to recruit a Digital services Manager for our Global client on a permanent basis.

This role will be a key member of the IT Operations Delivery leadership team and will collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure the correct skills and capabilities to facilitate the successful delivery of IT outcomes as agreed by the Leadership team.  

This role will have responsibility for promoting best practice across digital services, advocating a customer centred and collaborative approach to delivery. This requires the post holder to consider the best way to provision resources and how best to balance these in line with demand. As such, the Digital Services Manager should be aware of emerging technologies across the digital landscape. In addition, the role will have responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of our client’s digital platform together with providing Digital Specialist Development services and consultancy services for other teams and departments.

 As the Digital Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team of digital specialists primarily based in Glasgow, measuring the day-to-day performance of the web and digital assets, prioritising internal requests from stakeholders, delivering small change and resolving issues in order to deliver a consistently high-quality user experience.

The Person:

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in a digital leadership role, shaping, managing and inspiring multi-disciplined teams of web and digital specialists in a demanding project and service-orientated environment.
  • Management of virtual relationships across different geographical and time zones
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of “best practice” techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of multi-channel best practice and demonstrable experience of implementing best in class customer experience within an organisation. 
  • Have an excellent understanding of customer online behaviour and practical experience of customer testing methods and approaches
  • Demonstrable experience of managing an enterprise Content Management system (CMS) (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore) and app development.
  • Good technical understanding: SEO, web technologies, HTML, CSS, JS.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience in the procurement of services and contract management.
  • Experience of effectively managing budgets in excess of £500k in accordance with budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
