Durham Professional Services is working with our client to recruit an experienced MI Analyst. Based in Central Glasgow, our client is growing its dependence on Microsoft Power BI as its management information tool of choice and is looking for a suitably experienced professional to help build upon the MI capability.
Essential skills:
- Demonstrable experience in building live MI dashboards using Power BI drawing on various data sources such as Azure SQL, SQL Server, Excel and other sources.
- Good understanding of the Power BI ecosystem from requirement gathering, wire-framing, report design, testing and on through publishing.
- Excellent understanding of MI reporting and adequate understanding of SQL to be able to request appropriate queries etc to power dashboard assets.
- Previous experience as an MI analyst working within a Microsoft/Azure/Power BI environment.
- Must be self-starter able to take on a project and husband the project through all phases to satisfactory completion/delivery
- Accuracy in output. A commitment to accuracy and effective testing is a must.

- Ability to understand business processes and standard financial reporting essential.
- An ability to mentor and train others would be valued in this role, as would an ability to manage complex workloads.
