Durham professional Services is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a global institute, to recruit an operational Model analyst on a contract basis for 6 months. This role is based in Glasgow with regular travel required to office. This role is being offered via Umbrella only.

Job Purpose:
The Operating Model Support will support the end to end design of the future state Operating Model. This role will be critical in completing a deep dive into the global payroll operation to help build a clear view of activities, capabilities and process.  The Operating Model will serve as the foundation for execution and act as a guide for all teams with responsibilities as part of the end-to-end Payroll process.

 

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Deep dive into payroll activities, breaking down the work and defining it.
  • Building new process maps to capture new ways of working
  • Heping to shape a governance framework to support the new model
  • Creating country specific processes, procedures, and practices
  • Building best practice ways of working
  • Supporting the creation of tools e.g. training, country playbooks
  • Support with scenario testing and operational readiness for in country payroll
  • Participating in gap analysis – supporting design activity and providing expertise in helping to find solutions.
  • Support all transition activity during go-live ensuring that the change is embedded into BAU.

Key skills Reaquired:

  • Experience of working on operating models
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems and processes would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Strong process mapping skills with experience of Continuous Improvement practices and methodologies e.g., Lean, Six Sigma
  • Understanding of Organisational Design practices would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Proactive and problem solving capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to work as part of a small team to ensure a successful project delivery.
  • Strong organisation skills and willingness to work independently and as part of the team.
