Durham professional Services is working with a global Client to recruit a Procurement Support Manager. This role can be offered remotely with occasional travel to office, London or Glasgow as required.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Shared Services, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Operate as a main Point of Contact to support non-procurement colleagues perform transactional and operational sourcing activities in compliance with the procurement centre of excellence ensuring we are driving value, innovation and improvement from our sourcing activities (c£120m annually)
  • Develop and implement a programme of assurance activities demonstrating oversight through the development of dashboard and KPI reporting
  • Maintain the procurement policies, frameworks and procurement centre of excellence aligned to best practice liaising with the Sourcing Leads and Supplier Management Lead as required
  • Support the Sourcing Leads with commercial decision making through the provision of spend analytics and insights
  • Manage a contracts database for all our Critical, Strategic, and key Operational supplier contracts
  • Lead the day-to-day management of our global travel policy and contract including management of our travel management internal queries mailbox.

The Person

  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a supplier management/sourcing/procurement support role
  • Able to build good working relationships (challenge and support), negotiate and influence across the organisation
  • Ability to Innovate and generate ideas on how we do things to improve how we deliver (continuous improvement)
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills to actively interrogate and present data in a meaningful format. Good Excel and PowerPoint knowledge. Power BI proficiency is desirable.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, fast-changing, and high-pressure environment
  • Extremely well organized, analytical, and resilient to pressure.
  • Studying towards MCIP accreditation is desirable
