Durham Professional Services is delighted to be recruiting a 6-month contract role for a Senior PMO Analyst based in Glasgow.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent understanding of the role of PMO within a project/programme/portfolio environment
  • Good experience in planning and resource forecasting is essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or an equivalent level of experience
  • Excellent understanding of the P3M3 maturity model and its application
  • Demonstrable skill in project planning and preparing written communication.
  • In depth skill in working with large amounts of information to provide succinct analysis, spotting and communicating trending information
  • In depth skill and understanding of risk management, dependency management, benefits management and financial and budget management as it applies to a project, programme and portfolio of change
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, influencing and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Skill in working with groups to build consensus and resolve conflict
  • Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving including identifying opportunities for development and improvement
  • Attention to detail and with the ability to ensure high quality and consistency of output
  • Is a highly motivated, proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic individual who can work on their own initiative with minimal supervision and can meet strict deadlines
  • Can influence and negotiate with key and senior stakeholders over deadlines, required inputs, updates etc
  • High competence in use of Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Have been formally trained in recognised Project Management methodology, such as Prince 2, or can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
  • Previous experience of working on larger scale projects or programmes.
  • Understanding of people management skills and requirements.
  • Conversant with best practice methodologies in their area of expertise, and able to take a pragmatic approach to their practical application.
