Durham Professional Services is delighted to be working on a new role for a Solutions Architect - Applications, for a Client based in Glasgow, Liverpool and London. This role will be working in a hybrid fashion.

This role will be for a solutions Architect who has a really strong understanding of Applications.
The main details of the role
· Contribute to overall architectural support for the major projects whilst acting as architectural lead for a range of projects
· Contribute to overall architectural support and solution for the Business Units whilst taking design lead responsibility for one or more projects
· Corporate: Back-office functions, Banking, Marketing & Distribution
· Contribute to the development, publishing and promotion of architectural policies and standards
· Assist in ensuring compliance with IT Strategy, policies, and standards across all projects.
· Contributing towards and defining blueprints and technology roadmaps to support our technology strategy
· Contribute to the development, maintenance, and publishing of application roadmaps for critical and core applications
Experience in many of the following:
- Apps knowledge: Investcloud, Snowflake, trading etc (a good understanding of working multiple apps across multiple industries)
· Cloud experience – SaaS, IaaS & PasS - AWS and/or Azure
· Traditional Infrastructure – Servers, Storage, Wintel, HP-UX, 3PAR, Nimble, Cisco Network and Telephony.
· Security infrastructure and best practise
· Financial services systems - CREST, SWIFT.
· Business Application Management – SUN Accounts, MTD, Payroll.
· High-level Integration Architecture – API, Webservices and Integration best practise.
