Durham Professional Services are delighted to be recruiting for an IT Technician based in Falkirk or Glasgow. This role is for an initial 3 months and will be Umbrella only. This role is to support the roll out of Umberella, VMS 2 factor authentication to the UK population. Candidates do not need to be able to build the solutions, just contact users and troubleshoot and perform UAT testing and capture issues.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist the project team in implementing new systems
- Technicians will be performing the low-level check and UAT testing and pushing packages to the individual workstations
- Ensure processes are compliant and robust, meeting our regulatory and client commitments
- Deliver improvements in the efficiency and automation of our existing processes (where applicable)
- Remote support using a variety of communication and collaboration tools
Key Skills
- An in-depth technical understanding of IT services, with experience in problem solving technical issues
- IT certification would be extremely beneficial (i.e., MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA) or equivalent experience
- Ability to support Linux or Windows based operating systems (Server and Client)
- Knowledge of networking technologies and infrastructure knowledge is desirable
- Have prior experience of supporting multiple systems and users in a large business environment
- An understanding of certification standards (e.g., ISO27001, PCI DSS, ISO9001) is advantageous
